2027 Conference
About the 2027 MC @ Penn Conference
April 1–4, 2027
Established in 1997, Model Congress at Penn is a student-led organization at the University of Pennsylvania that is open to all undergraduate students. Every spring, MC @ Penn hosts a highly regarded four-day conference for high school students from across the nation, where they can engage in debates and discussions on bills written by their peers, exploring a wide range of contemporary political topics. The organization also organizes various events such as panels, guest speaker sessions, and other activities to deepen participants' understanding of the U.S. government, with a focus on the Congress and legislative process.
At the conference, delegates assume the responsibilities of our elected officials and attempt to address our nation’s most pressing issues. Model Congress at Penn is planned, led, and executed by current Penn undergraduates who either serve in administrative positions on its Board or who lead a committee during the conference.
For many of us, this is our way of giving current high school students an experience that was incredibly formative to us during our own time in high school. We are confident that this experience will help shape the future of our nation's leaders, and we are honored to play a small role in that journey.
